Resume Checker and CV Checker

This resume and CV checker reviews format, section structure, contact details, every bullet and common spelling mistakes in one pass. Each finding points at the exact line and says what to change, sorted by how much it matters. You also see the parsed text and, with a job description, your keyword gap.

What this checker covers

  • Format: columns, tables, icons, images, length, date style
  • Structure: contact details, Experience, Education, Skills
  • Each bullet: numbers, action verbs, duty-style openings, stock wording, pronouns, length
  • Spelling: common resume misspellings (a short fixed list in this prototype)

CV checker: same checks, CV conventions

Paste or upload a CV and the same checks run. "CV" is the usual word for a resume in the UK, Ireland and much of Europe. In the US, a CV usually means a longer academic document. If you apply to US employers, keep it to one or two pages without a photo.

Line-by-line: what the feedback looks like

  • Responsible for email campaigns → starts with a duty, no number. Try: "Ran 24 email campaigns a year with a 31% average open rate."
  • Spearheaded a seamless migration → stock wording. Say what moved, how much and how fast.
  • Grew Instagram followers 38% in 6 months → strong: verb, result, time frame.

The mistakes we flag most

Duties instead of results, bullets without numbers, two-column templates, and contact details hidden in a header. Each one appears in your results with the line it affects. For the parsing side, see the ATS resume checker.

FAQ

Is a CV checker different from a resume checker?

The checks are the same. The difference is convention: CVs in the UK and Europe can run a little longer, while US resumes are usually one or two pages without a photo.

Does it check grammar?

Only a short list of common misspellings in this prototype. Use a full grammar tool for a final pass.

Is this the same as a real ATS score?

No. Every employer's system is different. The score simulates common parsing and keyword rules, and every lost point is tied to a specific line or layout problem you can fix.

Is my resume uploaded or stored?

No. Your file is read in your browser and this prototype runs every check on your device. Nothing is sent to a server, stored or used to train models.

Does it cost anything?

Checks, your score, the top 5 fixes and the parsed-text view cost nothing and need no account. Pro features are marked with a lock.
